By purchasing a kitten from RoyalPaws Maine Coons, you agree to all terms and conditions outlined in this document. Please read carefully before proceeding with your adoption.
Purchase Agreement
General Terms
All kittens sold by RoyalPaws Maine Coons are subject to the following conditions:
Kittens must be at least 12 weeks old before leaving our cattery
All kittens come with a signed pedigree (for registered kittens), health record, and contract
Prices are subject to change without notice until a deposit is received
We reserve the right to refuse sale to anyone at our discretion
Deposits & Payments
To reserve a kitten, we require a non-refundable deposit of $500 USD:
Deposits secure your place in the waiting list or hold a specific kitten
The deposit will be applied toward the total purchase price
Balance is due in full before the kitten leaves our facility
We accept bank transfers, cash, certified checks and other payment methods agreed upon during negotiations
Cancellation Policy
If you choose to cancel your reservation:
Deposits are non-refundable except under circumstances outlined in our health guarantee
If we are unable to provide a kitten, your deposit will be refunded in full
Transfer of deposit to another kitten may be allowed at our discretion
Health Guarantee
Health Warranty
RoyalPaws Maine Coons provides the following health guarantees:
72-hour health guarantee against fatal and life-threatening congenital defects
1-year genetic health guarantee against life-threatening congenital defects
Veterinary examination within 72 hours of receipt is required to activate guarantee
Guarantee is void if kitten is not maintained with proper veterinary care
Vaccinations & Health Checks
All kittens receive:
Age-appropriate vaccinations (FVRCP)
Deworming treatments
Veterinary health examination before departure
Testing for FeLV/FIV (upon request, additional fee may apply)
Remedies
If a health issue arises that is covered by our guarantee:
We will replace the kitten with one of equal value when available
No cash refunds will be given under any circumstances
All veterinary reports must be provided for claim consideration
Breeding Rights & Registration
Pet vs. Breeding Quality
Kittens are sold under the following classifications:
Pet Quality: Sold with limited registration, must be spayed/neutered
Breeding Quality: Sold with full registration to approved breeders only
Final determination of quality is made by RoyalPaws Maine Coons
Registration
For registered kittens:
TICA/FIFe registration papers will be provided after proof of spay/neuter (for pet quality)
Breeding rights kittens receive full registration immediately
Additional fees apply for breeding rights and full registration
Breeding Restrictions
If purchasing breeding rights:
Kitten must not be bred before 10 months of age
No more than 2 litters per year for females
Breeding cats must be maintained in good health and condition
RoyalPaws must be notified of all litters produced
Shipping & Transportation
Shipping Options
We offer several transportation methods:
Personal delivery within 200 miles (additional fee applies)
Nationwide flight nanny service (quoted individually)
Buyer pickup at our cattery (preferred method)
Shipping Costs & Risks
Important shipping information:
All shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer
We cannot guarantee flight times or delays caused by airlines
Health certificate required for air travel (additional $150)
Kittens will not be shipped in extreme weather conditions
International Shipping
For international buyers:
Import/export regulations vary by country - buyer responsible for research
Additional health tests and documentation required
Quarantine periods may apply in some countries
Shipping costs typically $800-$1500 USD depending on destination
Care Requirements
Minimum Care Standards
Buyer agrees to provide:
Annual veterinary examinations and vaccinations
High-quality diet (we recommend raw or premium commercial foods)
Safe indoor environment (outdoor access only in secure enclosures)
Proper grooming including regular brushing
Prohibited Practices
The following will void all guarantees:
Declawing or any other unnecessary surgical alteration
Keeping the cat outdoors unsupervised
Breeding pet-quality cats
Neglect or abuse of any kind
Rehoming Policy
If you can no longer care for your Maine Coon:
RoyalPaws must be given first right of refusal
We will assist in finding a suitable new home if needed
Under no circumstances should the cat be surrendered to a shelter
New owners must agree to these same terms
Legal Terms
Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Maine. Any disputes shall be resolved in the county where RoyalPaws Maine Coons is located.
Liability Limitations
RoyalPaws Maine Coons shall not be liable for:
Any veterinary expenses incurred after the kitten leaves our care
Allergies developed after purchase
Damages or injuries caused by the cat
Consequential or incidental damages of any kind
Contract Amendments
This contract represents the entire agreement between parties. Any modifications must be in writing and signed by both parties.

By purchasing a kitten from RoyalPaws Maine Coons, you certify that you have read, understood, and agree to all terms and conditions outlined in this document. You affirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal right to enter into this contract.
